Book transfer to Belle MareBelle Mare transfer guide: route, where to stay and tips
What to expect on the airport to Belle Mare drive
Belle Mare sits on the east coast, which makes it one of the quicker resort transfers from the airport. The route heads north-east on the motorway and then continues through villages and sugar-cane fields to the coast. Plan for around 50 to 60 minutes.
Traffic is usually lighter than on the routes to the west and north, although the east coast can be windier and wetter, which rarely changes journey time. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall, helps with luggage and takes you directly to your hotel or villa.
Because most of the east-coast resorts are large, we recommend sending your exact hotel name so the driver knows which entrance to use.
Staying in Belle Mare and the east coast
Belle Mare is known for a long, white beach and a shallow lagoon, and it is home to several of the island's larger beach resorts and golf courses. It is quieter than Grand Baie and suits couples, families and travellers who prefer a calm atmosphere.
Nearby you can reach Palmar, Trou d'Eau Douce and Poste de Flacq. From Trou d'Eau Douce, boats run to the small island of Île aux Cerfs, one of the most popular day trips on the east coast.
Many guests arrive tired after a long-haul flight. A pre-booked private transfer means no queue, no negotiation, and a familiar face waiting when you arrive.
Tips for your Belle Mare transfer
Golf bags are common on this route. Mention them when you book so we can send a vehicle with enough space for them and the rest of your luggage.
If your departure flight is late in the evening, some resorts offer late check-out. Ask your hotel about it, then message us with the pick-up time and we will confirm the return transfer.
Booking both directions together gives you the best price and one less thing to organise while you are on holiday.
